Well before I was used to being in city buckets(jails), but then it was off to lindsey where you might find you are a little more serious about staying out of shit so u dont have to go back.
We all know most of us say we'll be good but are never doing it, so if you haven't been there, it's not fun. You might want to think about it when you're ready to do your crime...it's not the federal pens but it's not that nice either. Trust me, too much drama and everyting little has to be a beef. Politics there are fucked up. You have the young guys trying to act tough, who like to jump people for something as silly as you using the phone.

I have been in jail once before i was in Lindsay, but the second time was crazy. There was a debt of a "cup o noodles" from a card game and for the second time this little tiny black dude didn't pay up to the great big giant african man. They were headed to the back of the range when the little guy ran over to the trash can and under it he had hid a hand made "pencil shank." When the big guy approached him he stabbed him once. The rest of the range didn't agree and gave the little pip squeek a fuckin beat down that he deserved. All because he was too cheap to up a "cup of noodles". You never know what can happen one second to the next, there is guys there going to court looking at life.

Every prison is bad and has fucked up politics and people but if I had to choose a prison to do a lot of time in it would be lindsey. It's very clean and new plus u get a bath tub! which in jail is quite the luxury.

I must say that the guards in lindsay are one extreme to the next. you got goldie locks over on 2 pod who will shove his hand down the toilet to try to get your package and he loves the bend over and cough shit. then you got the older laid back guys that leave you alone if you're just doing your own thing that dont disrespect you like your some dog in a cage.
I love when they come in and tell you that the yard is free if you want to go out there you know that if you start kicking his ass first the rest of the guards watchin will jump in but on the street thats a different story, you watch them run.

three years ago i spent weekends in the lindsay
jail, i will never do that again.i could not believe the ignorance,shit disturbers,and pot head,pill popping idiots.I WAS PEGGED AS A DIDLER
BECAUSE SOME ONE SAID I WAS.SO 4 TO 6 PEOPLE THAT HUNG AROUND EACH OTHER MADE IT TUFF FOR ME.SO I FAUGHT BACK,I WAS APPROACHED IN THE PARKING LOT WHEN MY WIFE PICKED ME UP ON SUNDAY NIGHT AND IT SCARED HER SO I LOST IT AND KICKED THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF THIS PERSON TO MAKE A STATEMENT THAT I HAD ENOUGH OF LIES AND BULLSHIT THAT WAS SAID ABOUT ME.
AFTER THAT I DID MY 20 WEEKENDS, AND NO ONE BOTHER ME AGAIN.SURE THEY MADE COMMENTS,BUT I GOT RESPECT FROM OTHER WEEKENDERS,PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT A VIOLENT PERSON BUT AS A HUMAN I CAN ONLY TAKE SO MUCH LIES.I HAVE CHILDREN, AND I AGREE DIDLERS SHOULD BE CASTERATED.

If you enjoy drinking your morning coffee, made with Lindsay swamp water, thats luke warm, out of a shampoo bottle then this is the place for you!!!! Not a mexican jail, but next best thing. Agree totally with the other comments about politics, and people. The jail is not clean its very dirty. You only get a change of clothes twice a week. Your sink in your cell is the back of a toilet. So if you enjoy doing your laundry in the back of the toilet , then this is the place for you. So if you keep up your bad behaviour, you can enjoy youur stay at club fag.. There is a guy who dresses like a drag queen. That was entertaining and good for a laugh. Just as entertaining as the guy who killed his wife for insurance money.

I was in lindsey and the coppers beat the shit out of me, cause i wouldn't take out my eyebrow ring. They beat me with them extendable clubs they got hitting my knees and elbows so i couldent fight back.
I was pissed i wanted to fight back like any normal person would if they're being attacked by 4 grown men.
And the police were sitting at the gate watching because they have an OPP station in the building. Thought they would stop with the police there but they keep on going.
I was black and blue thrown in the hole for 3 weeks. I couldn't even walk for days.
so ya have fun if ya wanna go there. I moved to windsor in case i ever go back to jail.
Lindsay wont see me again, **** that.

You guys really need to toughen up. I was in Lindsay for one and a half years straight. It is soft time and there are some cool people in there. Do your time and get the hell out. Better to live on your feet, than die on your knees.

Jail is not what it used to be. I did fed' time in the 80's and can say it was not all that bad.
Did one fed sentence in the 90's and two in the new millenium. Had my share of jail and can tell you from first-hand experience that jail is now only suitable for the bullies and predators. Canadian prisons have been following the USA structure and have made it very inhumane. Guards are very cold and that's understandable as most of the "new breed" of young cons feel they need not show any respect and any human will rebel if treated wrong.
There are NO programs or early release in provincial joints so no help or incentive to behave. Ontario does not have the gang issues like western Canada but there is lots of racial tention in many of the larger prisons. Food is very poor and in a system where meals is one of the only things to look forward to, it should be better.
For those who feel that prison is "languising in luxury" give your head a shake. Most of the prisoners will be released one day and most will be carrying a huge chip on their shoulder from the lousy conditions the were put through. I survived but many don't.

i was an inmate in dec. 09 I was jumped from behind by a cowardly inmate who kicked my head and face for almost 2 minutes. He broke every bone in my face,but heres the thing...I'm out, almost back to normal after two surguries, and im gonna be rich thanks to him! I'm sueing for damages.
So while he rots in jail and wont see outside or family for 7 years, I'm having lots of fun out here in the sun. My charges won't land me back there so let life begin, crime dont pay!
