I agree ****** should have been fired @ Calgary Remand Centre, for assault on inmates in the 70's but management overloked it. **** ******* (Medicine Hat Remand) was even worse.
He was an underhanded and cruel man that should have never become a director, he and **** ***** delighted in settine up people that knew more than they did. He cost me my career; as I had to take a demotion to get the hell out of there. *********** was an idiot that caused a million $ riot in CRC but blamed it on *********. ******* was nothing but a yes man and a deceitfull man. I finally completed my time and took an early pension in 1999, after 27yrs.

from 1991-1995 i was an employee at spy. just a note to let potential employees know of the way things worked there regarding the management and provincial bullshit going on at that time(it likely hasnt changed from what i hear).... believe me, in hindsight what happened to me ended up being for the best. but at the time---DEVASTATING to myself and my young family. to make a long story as short as i can---union challenged province to give permanent full time positions to 28 employees considered codes (full time everything except BENEFITS but not PERMANENT) including myself. most codes had been working there between 2 and 8 yrs!! same $$$,same experience,doing the same jobs day in and day out and waiting for a permanent full time position so we can plan a future. when the union won (in court), the province (ralph days) snuffs out all 28 employee payroll #'s and invented 28 new ones. these so called leaders of our day deprived 28 deserving and committed employees(and their families) of income and hired inexperienced new hires to show the union who really has the power. i was still paying a student loan to the province when they pulled their little school yard hissy fit. absolute shame on the premier, justice minister,(i think it was alan rock), and many managers (puppets) at spy hill. every comment in this post is totally my OPINION. if any premiers, ministers or knuckle dragging managers are pissed at me for stating my OPINION, please......get in touch.
the names of some of the managers at spy hill at the time who were in my OPINION "little darlings" ********, ********* and *******. yeah these 3 were really "great" employees in my OPINION. cant beat em. im confident that most information stated in this post can be substantiated by AUPE and their archives as well as Alberta's justice dept (unless shredded or LOST). the knuckle dragging, under-educated, power-tripping scumbags who were responsible for the devastation of 28 Alberta families back then know exactly who they were and that's good enough for me now. Just a heads up for those who are trying their best to make a decent living in this country/province...beware the "insecure dinasauer"
