while visiting my brother in Vacaville prison for his birthday, a conversation began with another inmate and myself while in line at the vending machine. he stated he had just arrived at that prison but had been incarcerated for almost 14yrs.now. he was visiting a friend. mind you I never thought I would be attracted to an inmate in prison. for many years my brother has asked me to write to different cellmates of his, I always refused. we both felt the connection, as we kept glancing over at one another during our visits.I asked my brother about him, he knew nothing. out of the blue I told my brother to give him my address. I guess we were both thinking the same. after the visit I said goodbye to him and asked his name. 2 days later I received a letter from my new pen pal. we wrote almost every day for 2 years I visited him almost every weekend. then he got transferred to Corcoran state prison his out date for release was 09/14/2014 its been almost 1 year since I seen him. we talk for 15 min. when he has phone time. it was 3 yrs this month march 2014 that we had known each other now. while surfing the prison sites I came across this video with my friend being interviewed by a news reporter. she stated he was doing 60yrs. to life in prison! for assault on a peace officer! I just bout fell to my knees! this is not the man that I have been talking to for the past 3 yrs. I am scared now knowing that this man has a violent criminal history. and possibly never getting out. I could never be with a person who is violent. and now I have crushed this mans soul.i had to end it.

Stop whining

Uh, I think prison was meant to be miserable. No sympathy here for your jailbird son.

You suck

If he's in for life he probably killed someone so I guess it's an eye for an eye!certainly save the taxpayers some money instead of supporting him the rest of his life! What do you want, sympathy?

The process surrounding capital punishment costs taxpayers more than if the condemned were to spend LWOP in prison, edna.
