Settlement reached over troubled Nebraska jail

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) - A settlement has been reached between Lincoln County and contractors over the botched construction of a jail that opened in 2011. According to the agreement, the county will keep about $273,000 it still owed Roche Constructors, general contractor for the project. [read the full story here]
