This is the fifth post in a series about my new article, Prison Accountability and Performance Measures, which is in the current issue of the Emory Law Journal. In Monday�s post, I introduced the issue and advocated greater use of performance measures, which I�ll come back to later this week. In Tuesday�s post, I discussed why we don�t know much about the comparative cost or quality of public vs. private prisons. In Wednesday�s post, I talked about why introducing performance measures would be a good idea. In Thursday�s post, I discussed some of the normative issues involved in what measures to choose and started on some potential concerns about, and critiques of, implementing performance measures.
