A 28-year-old Shasta County jail inmate died today after he hanged himself in his cell, Redding police said. As the press release states, "On 2-19-13 at approximately 2300 hours an inmate at the Shasta County Jail was found deceased inside his cell. Redding Police Investigators and Shasta County Sheriff�s Detectives were called to the scene and conducted an investigation. It appeared the inmate�s death was a result of a suicide. The inmate had hung himself while inside his cell. His name is being withheld pending notification of family. No other information is available at this time." [read the full story here]
