Regional Gang Activity
This online tool provides basic statistics on gang trends, patterns and correlations with demographic and economic data, for 3,024 regions (counties, cities, and towns) across the US at the time the information was generated in the late 1990's. Because all statistics include correlations and comparisons at the county and state level, one can gain an approximate understanding of relative gang densities, activities, and patterns by region across different regions during the same time period. This makes it a valuable analytical tool for researchers investigating the causes of gang activity and gang crime in specific regions or across multiple regions in the United States.
