" I just have one question--How can you take someone with a short sentence that is not a felon and first time offender and send them to prison. Gwinnett is nuts! "

" I was in Gwinnett County for a while and they treated everyone like they were child molestors and murderers. I was in for a probation violation on a stupid mistake for drinking a beer. Gwinnett County judicial system is so crooked. The FBI went in and investigated conditions, but the County knew and straightened everything out before they came. After the feds left the prison went back to the same conditions. "

" I have a son who is currently incarcenrated in gwinnett county jail. My son has grandmal seizures and I'm afraid that he's going to have one in jail. He has to take his medication every day at the same time or else it would throw his dilantin level off and evently he'll have a seizure.

I've tried contacting someone in medical, but havent' been successful. I'm just a mother who is scared everytime the phone rings. "

" Although I was not incarcerated, I was arrested and taken to Gwinnett County Correctional Center and the experience was an enlightening one!

It seems that the male officers seem to be more willing to assist those brought in and at least treat them with SOME dignity (not like a non-offender). The women officers seem to have terrible attitudes and are quite miserable! They don't want to do anymore than that of which is expected of them as defined by their job duties. The men, however, at least listen to your request and make more of an attempt to treat you like a person and not a piece of dog crap! It's not like we want to be there and some of us make a stupid mistake and because of some memory issues, lands you in jail for what some would call stupidity.

I for one messed up... taking a perfume into the bathroom with my kids and sticking it into the front pocket instead of putting it on the unlikely washed floor of a store bathroom and with three kids with you wanting this, that, and the other, forgot about the little perfume (that by the way a stupid woman just happened to drop on the ground and broke the bottle not a few days after first purchasing it and claiming she would replace it - probably won't happen in this lifetime) and now who know wht will happen to me!

I don't want to go to jail and I do not want to lose my family, who are unbelievably scared (my kids that were with me) that I am going to jail and won't come home. And I, just want to give up and go onto my next life without all of my problems and just be happy. "
