"My fiance is at Noble and I agree with you waiting on my man. Someone does need to look into this facility. My fiance is currently on restrictions and it is sucks. He got in trouble for talking after count. He was telling me how the guard came to his bunk and tore his fleece blanket, a bunch of his personal pics and letters. Who do we as loved ones turn to to get this facility checked into? From what I have heard it is State run and they are alot more stricter and don t care about the inmates. My Boyfriend is in Noble and has been for a year he dont get out until Nov.25 2013. He calls me 3 times aday and he tells me how crazy it is in there. And he tells me all about the fights and how the CO s dont give a shit and the treat the inmates like HELL!! I know that they are in Prison but they should be treated like MEN and not DOG S!! He said the food is awful in there and that there is alot of gang s around! "I know someone who was unfortunately placed at this facility because the person who had them put there paid some people off to make sure that this person was placed as far away as possible from their family. And unfortunately this person was jumped two minutes after they arrived at this facility. I think it is pathetic that these prisoners and guards in on the stuff that goes on are so immature. These guards would not like it if it were happening to themselves or any of their family members. Just because someone is unfortunate and ends up in such a horrible place does not give anyone I MEAN ANYONE (i.e. so called security guards, CO s, prisoners, and any staff member) the right to watch another prisoner be abused by another prisoner or by a guard or whoever.
It makes me really ill to know that you people turn your heads to such horrid crimes and to know that you call the prisoners names and treat them so awful. There is a phrase in the BIBLE DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE DONE UNTO YOU!. Always remember that you the person committing these awful things to these prisoners who have unfortunately made bad choices and unfortunately had to end up in you facility which is choosing to make bad choices by not following rules and allowing and helping other prisoners to do awful things go on in your facility, you will get your pay back. Carma is a BITCH! It makes me really sick to know that you as a guard do not have a conscience enough to stop such violent treatment of the prisoners locked up in your facility. "My fiance is currently at Noble County. I am not real happy. He has a staph infection in his arm and has not been able to get any medical treatment. I understand that these guys are in there for a reason but they still deserve to be treated like the men they are!! Quite honestly I am tired of these men being treated like dogs, not being able to get the treatment they need and everything else that goes on. Like on the viists. I went last week to visit, sat in the visiting room for 1 hr and 15 mins. When he came out I asked what took so long. He said they made him go back and take his shorts off that he had on under his pants, then he said he was walking back, was right at the door and the CO made him walk all the way back and around because he walked the wrong way.. Something needs done about the way the prison system treats our loved ones!!!!"

"My daughter went to see my grandson on June the 27 .He had only been there 2 weeks,for serving a crime he got 6 months. Which was a little steep for taking money from someone elses credit card it was wrong for this one mistake he is trying to pay back for his crime. He is a young good boy. who got caught up in drug related little crime. At her surprise she found him beat up to the tune of 19 stitches and maybe frature bone in face. 2 men jumped him for littery nothing. Is this how the prisoners is treated. I dont have a experience. I have a son who recently went there and already he is complaining of how bad it is. How he was jumped because someone said he looked at him bad. No I thought prison was to learn from for all the charges that they face in time. Well then once they are jumped and picked on they should get out. You are sup;ose to defend yourself and not get into to trouble. I mean they do have cameras like everyplace. If a person allows someone to beat the hell ut of them to keep from hole. "I have a boyfriend in Noble, & YES EVERYDAY is stressful. He is always watching his back. Has been in MANY fights, just to keep his respect & stand his ground. He stands up for himself, & he is the one that goes to the hole! "I have been in prison 7 times but I have never been to Noble. What you hear about prison is mostly true but a lot of stuff happens only if you let it. As for noble, my brother in law was there for 1 year and the first 2 weeks there he got hit in the head with a lock in the sock. What people say about noble is 98% true and for staying to yourself, you cannot do that because inmates look for people like that to take advantage of. Once they do this every one will see this, then every one will try you. So to avoid this you have to do what you have to do to survive.
Now as for the officers, (just like on the streets you have good cop and bad cops), and believe it or not there are some good correctional officers that do their jobs. They say file informal complaints and go through the chain of command that usually end up in the instutitional inspectors office. All i can say is, you better hope you did not file it against his buddy, but on the other hand if he is an officer that does do his job he will get dealt with.
What I advise is if you re loved one is having a major problem, call and ask to talk to the deputy warden, and if that does not work ask for the warden. If still not resolved contact the governors office. You can get some help but you just have to contact the right people. No matter what prison you go to, you will always have a problem, JUST NOT LIKE NOBLE! "

"My son is at noble and has been there since 09/12/11 and got 2 years. There has to be something done about the {GANGS}. He also wrote he is scared and got jumped by 4 asshole s and the guards do nothing. Why isn t anyone doing something for these guys? They just broke a law and they re their to do the time and not be abused or have to fight every day. What is the guards job? It sounds worse than the streets and not all the people in Noble are bad! Has anyone called the news or national geographic for the animal behavior? It sounds like pitbulls get better treatment and protection than humans...
What about the WARDEN, has anyone talk to him to see what he think about his staff or inmates safety. What resoures he has in place to make effective changes and properly train his staff to handle situations that happen daily?"

"My husband is getting ready to be transfered to Noble. He s at CRC now. After reading all these stories I am scared out of my mind. He was scared at first, but then he heard they were trying to clean it up and get rid of the gangs as best they could. Whether it s true I don t know, or he could be just telling me this so I don t worry. I am so scared now and I m going to worry about him everyday and every minute. He ll be up for judical release in June...I hope nothing happens to jeopardize that. "My fiance was transferred to Noble. He is an amputee and suppose to be there for the medical facility. He was put in the 17-22 yo dorm and is 32 yo. He has no medical facilities available to him, he can t walk the steep hills or steps to go anywhere and has problems without a leg pushin his way to get to comissary, chow hall or the yard.
Everything I ve heard in these stories he has told me. He spent 5 yrs in Chili and said this place is nothing like he s ever seen ever before. The guards do look the other way, and don t ask them to many questions you ll be sorry. As far as the guard above that says rehabilitation happens before prison, not during or after, you re a real asshole, definitely one of the problems in this camp and should be one of the first if anyone was to ever change that place, that something should be done about. It should be obvious to anyone who read your message, that everything that is said about you and the other guards are not exagerating, from your ignorant comment. "I was at Noble for 5 years and 95 days. To hear a corrections officer tell unsuspecting family that nothing goes on is bullshit. My name is TACKETT and I lived it in person. The only reason gangs exist in prison is because the administration allows it, plain and simple. I knew a snitch that worked for the white shirts and he would tell guards what was going on and tell staff what was about to happen. And yes guards have told inmates who are child molester and kid beaters. Ask anyone that knows my reputation there. Exposed them daily because staff allowed it.
I have seen correction officers sell contraband to inmates One C.O. GOT FIRED FOR SUPPLYING IT..An OFFICER MOLESTED HIS OWN FAMILY MEMBERS. It s on the channel 9 news and the web, so to hear a lying officer talk shit like he is some expert on these matters makes me irate. I have seen both Sunday morning non regulars sleeping in their chairs in the morning while they collect taxpayers money. Women officers sent naked pictures in to inmates too. Riots happen, they simply don t make the 6 o-clock news. "My fiance has been in Noble for the past year and a half. Reading this I see that some people have the same problems Don has had. He has been jumped twice and both times HE got put in the hole. It doesnt make sense to me. These prisons have cameras; if you can go back and see someone was just defending themself then why give them a ticket and put them in the hole? It doesn t make any sense. At 99% of the other male prisons in Ohio blacks outnumber whites and it s a constant battle for power at older camps with actual bangers. You need to realize these inmates are trying to manipulate you just like they did when they walked the streets free men.
Take what they say with a grain of salt. Sure there are fights but not all are gang related or racial and no the Officers didn t set it up. You just have 2100 adult male convicted felons who don t always make good choices living together. "My son was at Nobel for over a year, transferred to DCI, and now is on his way to London, due to Dayton changing to a women s prison. We went and visited every chance we got, and my son was still able to transfer. Noble was crazy, and I prayed every night that my son would be safe.

Hello I m native and have spent years of my life in oklahoma prisons. I ve seen it change. From getting jumped by gangbangers to us n-d-ns maken them bow down. I never hated till i came to prison. When i was jumped by 15 n-hood crips my life changed then. It was time to do what I had to do. Some things were crazy and hateful. But it had to be done. That s my passed life.

My son is an inmate at noble and yes that place is crazy all the gangs. my son has been in for a year in march. with no problems now that he is up for judicial in march he has been accused of an assult which he did not do i have had inmates calling me telling me who did it and that my son is being framed. because the guy who did it is a gang member and no one will tell because of the out come of it.. it is ridiculous that the prisons can not control the gangs to me a gang is a sign of weakness cause you can handle it your self you have to have 100 others to back up your ass.. why should my son take the fall for something he didnt do... i am furious with this..

My son is in Noble and he is really having a rough time. He was in a pod when he first got there and it wasnt to bad for him. They since have put him in a different pod and he has nothing but trouble there. I really think there is serious things happening to him but he wont tell. His attitude is completely different. "My nephew is in Noble County and he said it is crazy, a lot of stuff goes on in there. Fights, riots, gang activity, etc. I am just worried for his safety and I hope the guards are on watch at all times for his safety and theirs, as well.
I would love to go see him but i heard that if you go visit they won t get moved to their home place, so I am up in the air about it. I just hope he gets moved closer to home because he is two and a half hours away one way. So let s just hope he gets moved soon for the sake of his boys.
